Louvers | Storm Resistant and Hurricane Rated Louvers

We carry a wide range of Storm-Resistant and Hurricane Louvers to meet the exacting task of providing ventilation, sightproofing, air intake, and air exhaust while preventing damage from the effects of severe weather including high-velocity wind-driven rain intrusion, high wind pressure, and projectile impact. Many of our customers lie within the Hurricane Prone Region, and with the louver specifications revised to require Hurricane-Rated products, we have recently developed a number of new models to satisfy their needs.  Our Storm-Resistant products have been rigorously tested for wind-driven rain penetration and missile impact, while all of our Hurricane-Rated products come either Florida Product Approved, Miami-Dade Rated, or carry both certifications.  Our Hurricane Products also come AMCA 540 certified, with some bearing the AMCA 550 certification as well either stand-alone or with the addition of a control damper behind the louver.

Louver blade configurations are designed to accomplish a high degree of storm- and hurricane resistance while still offering high free area and minimal pressure drop.  We have developed both Miami-Dade and Florida Product Approved louvers with horizontal drainable blade, horizontal chevron blade, and vertical chevron blade configurations, allowing the customer to select the style that best suits the needs of their project without sacrificing performance. 

Our Storm-Resistant and Hurricane-Rated models are all fabricated from extruded aluminum and are capable of being finished with our in-house AAMA 2604 and AAMA 2605 Powder Coating for an added degree of weather protection and aesthetic appeal.
